Starting December 15th, in the pickup game queues for CTF, teams will no longer be formed by draft captains; instead, a new system inspired by Lampyre’s NA QL TDM and magdoll’s Pub CTF communities will use an elo shuffle and balance method to determine team compositions after all players join the server, allowing player trades if needed, with map selection going to the team with the lowest overall elo, or decided by a coin toss if ratings match; this change aims to streamline team selection, encourage more game activity, and prepare for the upcoming CTF 2024 event, which is currently accepting signups on a first-come, first-serve basis with a cap on participants and teams.
